Artistieke representaties gaan niet over "the real thing", maar over het delen van subjectieve en onzichtbare emoties en indrukken, door middel van een zichtbare artistieke taal die kunstgrepen gebruikt om "beyond words" communicatie mogelijk te maken tussen de kunstenaars, de modellen en de voltooiers van de kunstwerk of kijkers.

Ben ik het niet mee eens. Eén type kunst is wat je hebt beschreven. Dat vind ik leuk, maar ik geef absoluut de voorkeur aan een ander soort kunst - om waarheidsgetrouwheid te vangen en het op de beste manier te laten schijnen in een video. Voor mij bestaat de beste vorm van kunst voor 90% uit het uitwerken van echte gevoelens en emoties en voor 10% uit het gebruik van technieken om dat en de schoonheid van onze modellen tot in detail weer te geven.

I disagree. One type of art is what you described. I like that, but I definitely prefer another type of art - to catch truthfulness and let it shine the best way in a video. For me, the best type of art consist of 90% working out real feelings and emotions and 10% of using techniques for presenting that and the beauty of our models in detail.

Ik weet dat het hetzelfde lijkt, maar soms is het belangrijk om het verschil te zien, zodat we fotografiewerk in zijn eigen termen en parameters waarderen. Kunst als fictie om innerlijke gevoelens weer te geven; of kunst als indruk om die gevoelens op te wekken.

Yes, but that is art in another sense. Art is a tricky word, as it really means "method" or "skill". Art as in paintings or music, is not meant to true to our senses; it needs to go beyond that. Art as skillful depiction of nature, as in natural photography, really is about highlighting direct impressions and selecting objects of beauty. I know it seems the same thing but sometimes it´s important to tell the difference, so that we value photography work in its own terms and parameters. Art as fiction to reflect inner feelings; or art as impression to induce those feelings.
